I
had no idea they were building a new Westmore. Weird. I've been gone for a year
which is weird to think about because I really doesn't feel that long, but yet
it does feel like forever. It's also weird to think that there are other things
there that have changed that would be normal for you but would be crazy for
me.
I'm
having fun. We recently got a new bishopric and we're really happy/excited.
It's really cool,
there is a Sister in my district that studied opera at BYUI and is amazing, so
we sing together and it's really really nice haha. We're actually singing in a
mall in a place called Jamaica, Queens for a concert. We each are doing 2-3
solos and then the choir is doing other numbers. I'm excited. It won't be too
big, I'm just excited for the chance to sing. Still no idea what I'm going to
do for it though.
Anyway,
my plantar fascia is fine. It hasn't been hurting too much. Only occasionally.

We
don’t email at a library now, so I can email today even though it is a
holiday. We're starting English classes
this week. I'm happy, nearly 3 months without it. I miss it.

I
didn't even realize that __ was old enough to be in college, but I guess she
is. What's weird is that all the people who were in high school with me have
now graduated. I now know no one that
goes to MV. Or let me rephrase that,
there now isn't anyone there I actually went to the same school at the same
time. Weird.
Transfers
are next week. This week is going to be
crazy. I have a rehearsal for the mall
concert Thursday, rehearsal for a different concert in Staten Wednesday, the
actual Staten concert Friday, and the mall concert Saturday. Then Saturday
night we have transfer calls which tell us if we stay or go.
I'm
also excited because on Sept 11 they always light up the freedom tower, and it
is a magnificent sight. There is a park with one of the greatest views in NY of
Manhattan and I'm going to be in the area for the rehearsal so I'll get to see
it.
English
classes have been great so far. We've only had 2 so far, and there haven't been
as many people as I have had in other areas, but more members have come to this
than in any of my other areas. So I'm really happy about that. The ward
is good. Things are getting done. It's nice.
I
saw a dog that was Kye, but the regular size instead of a toy (as in type of
breed.) Exact same color, markings, and bobbed tail. It made me miss Kye SO
MUCH!!!! I obviously miss you too, but I
get to “talk” to you, so you know I love you haha.
This
past week I went to the temple for my year mark. It was a really nice trip. I
got to see everyone who was in my MTC district. It was a nice little reunion. Dad,
have you seen the new video? I like it a
LOT more. There's actual emotion. So
much better. And it actually makes visual references to science in a way of
saying "God works through science." I really enjoyed it.
Found
out we'll be getting Facebook/social media next month. I'm not a fan, but we'll
see. I plan on sticking to tumblr for my "proselyting" and staying
away from fb, because I don't want to have to deal with "cleaning up"
my profile. Still not sure what all is going to happen with that or how it will
work. Oh well. It'll be interesting.
